Manufacturing

Vertically Integrated Manufacturing, Start to Finish

Fibre to finished garment, manufactured under one roof: yarn, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and garmenting, all at our ISO 9001:2008 certified facility.

Most apparel supply chains involve a fabric mill, a separate dye house, an independent weaving specialist, and a garment factory — each one a handoff where cost, time, and quality control can slip. Premo Denim consolidates all of it under a single facility: yarn processing, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and full garment manufacturing, managed end-to-end by one team.

For our brand partners, that means fewer intermediary markups, less logistical friction between production stages, and tighter quality control at every touchpoint — from the raw fibre we source through to the finished, packaged garment that ships to you.

Fabric Mill

Fabric Manufacturing: Weaving, Dyeing & Finishing

At the core of our capability is our textile mill, where we produce top-tier denim, chino, and greige fabrics across a wide range of weave patterns, widths, and proprietary indigo shades. Our in-house design team develops new fabric constructions continuously, backed by automated weaving and finishing infrastructure built to hold a consistent standard across bulk production — not just a strong single swatch.

Specialized Weaving

Selvedge & Jacquard: Heritage Craft, Modern Scale

Alongside high-output fabric production, we maintain two specialized weaving capabilities most mills don't invest in.

Selvedge Denim

Woven on traditional shuttle looms for the tight weave, durability, and authentic vintage character that heritage and premium denim brands specifically look for.

Jacquard Denim

Woven in-house on our own jacquard looms, so intricate patterns and motifs are built into the fabric structure — for apparel and, uniquely, home textile applications as well.

Yarn Innovation

Built On Sustainable Fibre Science

Great fabric starts with the yarn, and this is where a growing share of our capability — and our brand partners' interest — is concentrated. Our facility processes a wide spectrum of yarn types, engineered for performance, texture, and environmental impact:

  • Performance & Comfort Stretch Yarns — dual-core and multi-component elastane construction for stretch recovery, contouring, and shape retention.
  • Novelty & Slub Yarns — engineered for authentic vintage texture, cross-hatch effects, and classic ring-spun character.
  • High-Tenacity Yarns — strength-enhanced fibres for rugged, technical denim and workwear applications.
Sustainable Blends

Sustainable & Eco-Friendly Yarn Blends

This is increasingly the deciding factor for brands building responsible collections. Our sustainable yarn program includes hemp, recycled polyester (rPET), recycled cotton, EcoVero, bamboo, banana, and coffee charcoal yarns — each suited to a different feel, performance profile, and environmental footprint.

Recycled Cotton

Reclaimed fabric waste respun into fibre for circular collections.

rPET

Post-consumer plastic bottles spun into performance-grade yarn.

Hemp & Bamboo

Durable, breathable natural fibres with strong sustainability credentials.

EcoVero & More

Plus banana and coffee charcoal yarns — see the full seven-yarn guide.

For the full comparison table and detail on each fibre, see our 7 sustainable yarns guide on the Sustainability page.

Apparel

End-to-End Garmenting

Fabric is only half the story. Our facility also houses a full apparel manufacturing unit capable of executing complex garmenting at scale:

  • CAD-driven, automated cutting floors for precision at volume
  • Multi-line stitching floors with specialized heavy-duty denim machinery — felled seams, top-stitching, and bar-tacking
  • In-house laundry and finishing — from a crisp, raw unwashed finish to vintage distressing, laser fading, or modern eco-washes

The result: fabric that started on our own looms can be turned into a finished, packaged garment without ever leaving our facility. Learn more on our Turnkey Denim page.

How We Work

Process Flow for Denim Manufacturing

Here's how raw yarn becomes finished denim fabric on our floor, start to finish.

  • 1. Warping — Preparing the warp yarns for weaving (direct or indirect).
  • 2. Dyeing — Coloring the yarn or fabric, including sustainable and low-impact dye options.
  • 3. Weaving — Interlacing the warp and weft yarns to form the fabric.
  • 4. Singeing — Burning off protruding fibres for a clean surface finish.
  • 5. Desizing — Removing the sizing agent used during weaving.
  • 6. Mercerizing — Chemical treatment to improve dye affinity and finish quality.
  • 7. Finishing — Softness, stretch, durability, and hand-feel treatments.
  • 8. Packing — Preparing the finished product for shipment or storage.

FAQ

Capabilities FAQs

What manufacturing capabilities does Premo Denim have in-house?

Premo Denim operates as a fully vertically integrated manufacturer — yarn processing, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and complete garment manufacturing, all under one ISO 9001:2008-certified roof.

Does Premo Denim manufacture sustainable or eco-friendly denim?

Yes. Our yarn program includes hemp, recycled polyester (rPET), recycled cotton, EcoVero, bamboo, banana, and coffee charcoal yarns, alongside water treatment and energy-efficient manufacturing. See Yarn Innovation and our 7 sustainable yarns guide.

Can Premo Denim produce both selvedge and jacquard denim?

Yes. We maintain traditional shuttle loom capability for authentic red selvedge denim and in-house jacquard looms for woven-pattern jacquard denim — including home textile applications.

Does Premo Denim manufacture finished garments, or only fabric?

Both. Our in-house garmenting unit takes fabric through CAD-driven cutting, multi-line stitching, and full laundry/finishing to deliver retail-ready garments, in addition to supplying raw fabric by the roll.

Is Premo Denim's manufacturing process certified?

Yes, our facility operates under ISO 9001:2008 certification across our full manufacturing process.
